The Kalemegdan citadel on the outskirts of Belgrade is an old medieval castle, now in ruins, encircled by a beautiful park. It's one of the best places to go to if you want to get a glimpse of the city's past. On Sundays, locals gather here and dance to traditional music, mostly played on accordion. Worth seeing.
